Herb Ritts L.A. Style. Released in honor of the new retrospective exhibit at the Getty Museum, this book features a ravishing roster of supermodel greats, actors, and musicians with the city of Los Angeles serving as a stunning backdrop.

Harper’s Bazaar Greatest Hits. I was eleven years old when I first read a copy of the magazine that made me fall in love with fashion and style. On the cover was the insanely beautiful Christy Turlington wearing a citron colored dress, and the inside was full of inspirational photography, astronomically priced ensembles, and covetable accessories. I picked this volume up at the International Center for Photography in NYC last fall, and what makes this edition even more special to me is that it was signed by EIC Glenda Bailey!

Influence by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. My, my, how these two have come a long ways since their days on Full House and cutesy direct-to-VHS movies. This is a smart assemblage of interviews with other designers and artists that have made an impression on the twins. As you probably know, these moguls are behind the brand Elizabeth and James, which is one of the most innovative and on trend lines on the market.

Avedon Photographs 1946-2004. A brilliant portrait photographer whose iconic images are synonymous with Bazaar. In my opinion, Avedon’s black and white portraits are rivaled by few as his lens penetrated the soul of the subject he was shooting, showing the person’s underlying vulnerabilities and true character.

The bluebonnets are more vibrant and beautiful than I’ve ever seen them. It’s hard not to get excited about springtime without driving by a rural country road with blurs of blue on the side.

A rousing game of Scattergories. My moderately competitive spirit is elicited by most activities, but there’s something about this particular game that amps mine up to another level.

Say Anything. When I think of the quintessential romantic gesture in any movie, my mind immediately conjures up the iconic scene of Lloyd Dobler standing outside Diane Court’s house with a boom box blaring “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel with the look of lost pride and hopeless love on his face.

Which talent would you most like to have? I would love to be a ballet dancer. They’re so graceful and alluring. 

What are your favorite names? Barron – it’s what I’ll name my future (golden retriever) puppy, if and when I ever get one.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement? I think it’s yet to come.

If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be? I’d come back as me, but I’d do everything right this time.

What is your most treasured possession? The silver coin my parents bought for me in Tirupati.

Who are your heroes in real life? My parents.

Who do you consider to be a genius? Jakob Dylan and a quartet of my favorite photogs: Ritts, Weber, Avedon, and Lindbergh.

What is your greatest regret? Not discovering my true passions and interests earlier.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Being desperately unhappy.

What is your favorite song? It’s a tie between ”Your Song” by Elton John (I teared up when I heard him play it live in concert) and “Southern Girl” by Amos Lee.

What is your favorite occupation? Jet setter.  

What is your most marked characteristic? My really loud and constant laughter.

What do you value most in your friends? A consistent thread among all my close friends is that they are all hilarious, intelligent, nonjudgmental, and fun.

Who are your favorite writers? Austen, Wordsworth, Browning.

Who are your favorite painters and composers? Jacques Louis David. “Oath of the Horati” is one of my favorite works of art.

Who are your heroines of world history? Casanova, Gandhi.
